CloudCam Remote Control

The CloudCam application can be remotely controlled using either email or through sending HTTP GET requests to the CloudCam web interface.

This section details the steps to send a remote control email to the CloudCam application. Once a remote control (identified by email subject in Cloud Communication->Remote Control email settings) email has been successfully processed by the CloudCam application, an email reply will be sent detailing the current configuration on the Android device.

Please note the below configuration sections can be combined into a single email using the & character to join the commands together. To include Color Effect, Torch mode, video quality and zoom into a single email message, the email message would look like the below...

ce=posterize&tm=torch&v=40&z=2

This section details the step to control the CloudCam application by sending a HTTP GET request to the CloudCam web interface. The example below will send a HTTP GET request to control the Color Effect, Torch mode, video quality and zoom into a single request.

http://192.168.1.2:8087/update?ce=posterize&tm=torch&v=40&z=2

Please note the above IP 192.168.1.2 will need to be replaced based on the IP address of the device running CloudCam.

Color Effect

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to one of the below color effect values.

To update the color effect on the Android device camera, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

ce=posterize

Please note the posterize value can be replaced with any of the values in the above list.

Torch Mode

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the camera torch.

To update the torch mode on the Android device camera, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

tm=torch

Please note the torch value can be replaced with any of the values in the above list.

White Balance

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to one of the below white balance effect values.

To update the white balance on the Android device camera, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

wb=flourescent

Please note the flourescent value can be replaced with any of the values in the above list.

Auto Focus

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to one of the below auto focus values. Please note if the camera does not support auto-focus, the update option will not be available.

To update the auto focus on the Android device camera, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

afo=force-focus

Please note the force-focus value can be replaced with any of the values in the above list.

Video Quality

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to increase/decrease the video quality.

To update the video quality on the Android device camera, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

v=40

Please note the 40 value can be replaced with any of the values in the above list.

Email Remote Control

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn OFF the remote control feature.

To turn OFF the remote control feature on the Android device camera, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Email Snapshot

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the Email Snapshot feature.

To turn ON/OFF the Email Snapshot, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Please note the "on" value can be replaced with any of the values in the above list.

If the configuration is not complete on the Android device then the feature cannot be switched ON until the configuration has been updated.

Video Recording

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the Video Record feature.

To turn ON/OFF Video Record, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

If the configuration is not complete on the Android device then the feature cannot be switched ON until the configuration has been updated.

Battery Notification

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the battery notify feature.

To turn ON/OFF the battery receiver, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

batterynotify=on

If the configuration is not complete on the Android device then the feature cannot be switched ON until the configuration has been updated.

Out-bound video streaming

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the out-bound video streaming feature.

To turn ON/OFF the out-bound video streaming feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

G-Sensor Movement Detection - MJPEG out-bound Streaming

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the MJPEG streaming G-Sensor movement detection sensor. When the movement sensor is activated, MJPEG streaming will be automatially enabled.

To turn ON/OFF the movement streaming feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

G-Sensor Movement Detection - Snapshot

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the snapshot G-Sensor movement detection sensor. When the movement sensor is activated, snapshot will be automatially enabled.

To turn ON/OFF the movement snaphot feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

G-Sensor Movement Detection - Video

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the video G-Sensor movement detection sensor. When the movement sensor is activated, video will be automatially enabled.

To turn ON/OFF the movement video feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Camera Picture Movement Detection - MJPEG out-bound Streaming

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the MJPEG streaming picture detection movement sensor. When the movement sensor is activated, MJPEG streaming will be automatially enabled.

To turn ON/OFF the movement streaming feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Camera Picture Movement Detection - Snapshot

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the snapshot picture movement sensor. When the picture movement sensor is activated, snapshot will be automatially enabled.

To turn ON/OFF the movement snaphot feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Camera Picture Movement Detection - Video

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to turn ON/OFF the video picture movement sensor. When the movement sensor is activated, video will be automatially enabled.

To turn ON/OFF the movement video feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Zoom

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to increase/decrease the camera zoom.

To increase/decrease the camera zoom level , send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

z=1

Sleep Mode

The CloudCam application running on the Android device can be updated to switch into sleep mode.

To turn ON/OFF the sleep mode feature, send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.

Rotation

The camera running on the Android device can be updated to change the rotation of the image captured from the camera.

To change the image rotation , send an email to the gmail username and email subject configured in the Remote Control gmail settings under Advanced Configuration with the following email message.
